There have been many articles written about the interview suit. The power suit has been glorified over and over again. This makes sense since many people do not need to wear a suit once they have gotten their job. Many people don't bother to learn how to look good in a suit on a daily basis because they really don't need to know.

Unfortunately, there are not many articles on wearing a suit to the office. Even though most employees do not have to wear a suit to the office, there are still some that must. Somebody that wears a suit five days a week shouldn't have a closet that consists of a power suit and nothing else. These people should be prepared with an office suit or two to wear each week.

In this article I'll go over some of the popular suits you can wear to the office. You'll learn about the suits that must be worn in a formal setting and the ones that are a bit more relaxed.

Colors will need to be changed up regularly so that it doesn't look like you only have one suit. Even though a navy blue pinstripe is just fine to wear to the office, it shouldn't be worn everyday. Mix your suit colors up by getting yourself some charcoal gray suits, some suits without pinstripes, and even a black suit.

Formal settings will not let you wear any shirt colors other than white and blue. If you must stick to plain white and blue, just add some good ties into your wardrobe to liven it up. You'll find that less formal environments will allow you to wear shirts that vary from white and blue. Don't go overboard, but branch out to light yellows, off whites, and light pink.

Always remember that you do not have to buy your entire office wardrobe in one day. Buy a couple suits and enough dress shirts and ties to get you through a week. Once you have been working for a little while you can use your money to buy new outfits.

Bonus Tip: Always keep an extra white shirt and a tie in your office or your car if necessary. When you have an extra shirt, you can easily take care of accidents like coffee spills without having to go home.
